How To Use

Directions for Use

Recoating Procedure for Previously Coated Floors

  1. Remove all soil. Wear soft-soled, non-marking gym shoes.
  2. Screen lightly with 120-150 grit screens or a maroon pad until floor is uniformly dull.
  3. Vacuum all dust from floor.
  4. Tack floor with water-dampened Turkish towels, tightly wrung out, until floor is dust-free.
  5. Allow floor to dry completely.
  6. Apply 1 coat of Front Court at 500 sq. ft. per gallon (12.26 sq. meters/L) using recommended applicator. * Work steadily without stopping, keeping valve open continuously, until entire coat is applied.
  7. Allow to dry. Do not exceed 16 hours (between coats) prior to recoating or rescreening will be necessary.
  8. Apply 1-2 additional coats of Front Court by repeating step 6. Do not exceed 16 hours (between coats) prior to recoating or rescreening will be necessary.
  9. Release to light traffic after 24 hours and heavy traffic after 48 hours.
  10. Do not use detergents or other cleaner on the floor (except Huntolene Dust Mop Treatment) for 14 days.
  11. Do not cover floor for 30 days.

New or Sanded Wood Floors

  1. Apply one coat of Front Court at 500 sq. ft. per gallon using the recommended applicator. * Work steadily without stopping, keeping the applicator valve open continuously, until the entire coat is applied.
  2. If floor is not being painted, skip to step #8.
  3. If floor is being painted, tape lines and keys. Paint floor and allow to dry according to paint manufacturer's recommendations.
  4. Dry-screen painted areas to a uniform dullness with a grit screen to remove all paint luster (worn 100 or 150 grit screen).
  5. Vacuum the paint dust from the floor.
  6. Tack painted area with Seal-O-Solv. Allow floor to dry.
  7. Tack floor with water-dampened Turkish towels, tightly wrung out, until floor is dust-free and completely dry.
  8. Apply 1-2 additional coats of Front Court by repeating step 1. Do not exceed 16 hours (between coats) prior to recoating or rescreening will be necessary.
  9. Release to light traffic after 24 hours and heavy traffic after 48 hours.
  10. Do not use detergents or other cleaners on the floor (except for Huntolene Dust Mop Treatment) for 14 days.
  11. Do not cover floor for 30 days.

Additional Notes

  • Avoid applying on extremely hot and humid days or when the floor temperature is below 70°F (21°C).
  • Never apply Front Court to a floor that has been chemically stripped.
  • Never apply to a bare wood floor.
  • Always apply two coats of EZ-On first to new or sanded floors.
  • Wear non-marking, soft-soled shoes while working on floor.
